Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) belong to a family of secreted or membrane-associated proteins capable of digesting extracellular matrix components. MMP-8 (collagenase-2, neutrophil collagenase) is involved in quite a few diseases such as cancer, arthritis and asthma.
The SensoLyte® 490 MMP-8 Assay Kit is a complete assay system designed to continuously analyze MMP activities or to screen MMP-8 inhibitors by using a fluorogenic MMP-8 substrate.
