CyberSecurity Expert

Your mission:
•    Be responsible for overseeing information security, cybersecurity and IT risk management programs.
•    Propose, design, develop, enforce and maintain our security policies, procedures, and controls.
•    Conduct security audits and risk assessments, and investigate any security incidents that occur.
•    Be part of the Information Technology team reporting directly to the Head of IT.

Your responsibilities:
•    Scientific background to understand genomic and proteomic products & environment (Degree in Life Sciences or related field)
•    Proactively identify, assess, manage, and mitigate potential threats to security.
•    Propose, develop and implement a comprehensive plan to secure our computing network (on-premises and cloud-based) and data confidentiality/integrity.
•    Regularly monitor network perimeter for intrusions and intrusions in progress.
•    Act as Eurogentec’s preferred point of contact with the Kaneka Group’s SOC
•    Propose, develop, implement and maintain security standards, policies and procedures.
•    Keeping up to date with latest developments in IT security standards and threats.
•    Evaluate information security systems, methods, and practices.
•    Collaborate with management and the IT department to improve information security.
•    Document/report any security breaches and assess their potential damage.
•    Manage risk and provide timely and accurate responses and decisions.
•    Educate colleagues about security software and best practices for information security, and suggest, set up and maintain corresponding training materials.
•    Support & improve the company’s incident response plans.
•    Manages projects in his/her field of expertise by integrating stakeholders.

Your profile:
•    Experienced IT Expert with previous experience in an information security role or as a senior network administrator.
•    Expert analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of best practices to prevent a wide range of security threats.
•    Excellent knowledge of Internet security, including Internet architecture, protocols, and applications.
•    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, and exceptional attention to detail.
•    Ability to train and educate a non-technical audience about various information security topic.
•    Excellent organizational skills to prioritize efficiently tasks and projects.
•    Excellent communicator, at ease with both French and English (regular interface with our Japan-based HQ and SOC).
•    Knowledge of IT processes and controls and strong understanding of risk and control frameworks or regulatory requirements and standards such as CoBIT, ISO, NIST, NIS2, ITIL, PCI.
•    Technical/practical experience in most of the following technologies is required: AD/AzureAD/EntraID, Cisco switches/ISE/Meraki/Ironport, VLAN’s, Fortigate, FortiAnalyzer, EDR/XDR softwares, antivirus softwares.
